Join Newcastle Chamber Choir for Winter Song – a captivating regional tour celebrating the power and beauty of choral music. As four-time gold medallists at the World Choir Games (South Korea and Aotearoa (New Zealand)) and four-time Australasian Choral Champions, we’re thrilled to bring our internationally acclaimed sound to regional NSW.

This programme features a dynamic mix of genres, with compelling works by Australian and international composers. From hauntingly beautiful soundscapes to vibrant rhythmic works, Winter Song offers something for every listener.

Earlier in the day, join us for a Choral Masterclass with Benjamin Lambert our Artistic Director and Conductor. An Australian-born conductor and long-time champion of community music-making, Benjamin was mentored in choral conducting by Dr Philip Matthias at the University of Newcastle. He has worked with university, school and community choirs across the country. Come for an enriching deep dive into his process, and leave inspired with new knowledge and musicality.

Choral Masterclass

- Benjamin Lambert will workshop two exciting and contrasting pieces

- The masterclass will focus on blend, tone, intonation, rhythm, ensemble skills, music theory, freedom in sound production and compositional practice

- The workshop will finish with a Q&A, an opportunity to answer your musical conundrums – have your say!
