Mr Benjamin Lambert

Conductor & Artistic Director, Newcastle Chamber Choir

Benjamin Lambert (BMus, Distinction) enjoys an active life as a conductor, composer and orchestrator. He is the Conductor and Artistic Director of the recently formed Newcastle Chamber Choir (2019). Under his direction the choir won all eleven Open Choir/Championship categories in the 2019 Sydney Eisteddfod & 2019 Canberra National Eisteddfod.

Other notable accomplishments as a conductor include: guest conducting Pacific Boys Choir (double Grammy award winning), recording a CD of Ruth McCall’s works, conducting Mass in St Mary's Cathedral (Sydney), conducting on the deck of aircraft carrier USS INTREPID (New York), leading parades through Disney Land California & Disney World, conducting at The Washington Monument after privately meeting President Obama’s ‘President’s Own’ Band Directors and Conductors, conducting at Lincoln Centre for the Performing Arts, Sydney Football Stadium (35000+ in attendance), Newcastle Stadium and the Royal Easter Show Sydney. He has performed in concert with The Idea of North, Tallis Scholars, Guy Sebastian and The Canadian Ambassador Choir. Ben has toured internationally with various music groups Thirteen times, to Canada, China, America, Bermuda, England, Italy, France and Switzerland.
